Guilty Pleasure

The Jersey Shore.
Yes, it is trashy.
Please don't lose too much respect for me.

Heard this on NPR the other day: "Take your sunglasses off inside and tell those people whom you really enjoy reading. And if they smile-giggle and a hush comes over the room, don't do what I did and lie to your classmates. Be proud of the books you've absorbed. Revel in your guilty pleasures."

(Or in your case, "whom [or what] you really enjoy [watching].")
Here's the entire story if you're interested: Proud And Unpretentious: Lessons From John Irving. It's from a series called My Guilty Pleasure. I've only heard the one story, but I found it rather liberating. Perhaps you will too. :)

Meg, love, I revel in my love of Harry Potter books and Ugly Dolls despite being a mature young nursing student. lol

I'm not familiar with Ugly Dolls, but Harry Potter is a brilliant choice!!!
They are also my favorites. In fact, I wrote a short essay on why Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is my favorite book of all time (IN FRENCH!) for my French lit class yesterday. My teacher surely thinks I'm crazy now, but I LOVE it!
